Wondering if android market has been inaccessible for several hours due to people trying to get the google+ client… ;-)

Seems to work for me, maybe it is avoiding you!

Must hate me for being on AT&T…

Disabled wifi, same fail… Not that it really matters, was just idly curious if new google+ app came out today.

Not sure why it still failed when I disabled wifi before; probably some other failure. But I found why it wasn’t working generally at home any more. I wasn’t letting tcp nameservice queries through my firewall from my wireless.

$ host market.android.com

;; Truncated, retrying in TCP mode.

Once I let through tcp port 53, it magically started working.

This became more important to fix with the new wifi-only xoom. :)

More than likely, there’s no REST for all the traffic its generating.

Yeah, I know, a geek pun.

They just added more ip addresses and it no longer fit in a udp packet, that was all.
