For those who don’t believe that our loss of liberties is a sufficient reason to scale back the TSA, note the estimate that of people who choose to drive instead of fly since 9/11-motivated “security” measures were added, 500 people die in automobile accidents every year. I mean, I know we’re all going to die eventually, but it doesn’t seem to me that’s necessarily the best way to go.

The terrorists are winning.

I nominate Bruce Schneier for the Patrick Henry award and the Emperor Wears No Clothes award for this description of the specific, concrete harms that the TSA is implementing.

If you define a terrorist organization as an organization which has the objective of making people afraid and take away their liberties…

….. you can get an interesting list in this case.

I guess it would be unwise to post candidates for that list, since they do seem to have done a good job of restricting liberties…
