I bought a treadmill about three years ago for a desk. I’ve used it almost every weekday morning for a year and a half. I wouldn’t want to give it up.

I walk in the morning. In the evening, it is mostly a standing desk. For small mental efforts like email and news, I walk between 3.5 and 3.7 mph. To write code, I walk mostly between 2 and 3 mph. To design things, though, I need to sit down, preferably in a recliner.

+Eugene Crosser Given how fast I walk at my treadmill desk, you aren’t the first person to have mentioned that comic.

I finally purchased an SSD for my laptop. My HDD parking due to excessive movement is what has limited me to a max of 3.7mph. I’m very interested to see how fast I can walk and still type effectively once I’ve switched over and don’t have an HDD spinning most of the time.
