The modern ‘boy who cried wolf’ story should get rewritten … bunches of fake boys crying wolf so often that the original boy who never did anything wrong gets ignored when the wolf actually comes and he does actually report it. Then he remembers he needs to submit his wolf warning in writing so he sends a letter and all is well.

Since I have actually received a notification of a tax mistake from the IRS when I lost track of a piece of paper, I know how this works in real life. Not a threatening robocall…
