I am not sure if such articles do any good, or just divert the public anger towards a wrong target. The “Shoot first, ask questions later” DMCA makes is a reasonable business decision to prefer an occasional PR blunder to a flock of huge lawsuits. It’s not “incorrectly programmed copyright enforcement squad” - it was programmed correctly to the goal of minimizing the damages to the company’s bottom line.
