In-camera shuttle panoramic
At Udvar-Hazy yesterday, I took a quick in-camera panaramic of the shuttle because my 18mm lens wasn’t nearly wide enough to capture it. It’s a little wider than the standard kit lens, and there are some stitching artifacts, particularly near the edges (see the railing at the lower left especially). Could be worse. Only one three-legged person that I’ve found so far. ☺

I didn’t realize that Google was selling hashtag advertising. G+ auto-added a camera brand that I didn’t mention in the text or use to take the picture. I removed it.

But you did mention the camera brand! By not stripping the exif data ;)
(I agree that it feels wrong that they do it.)

The nose cone, with the steering engine nozzles flush with the surface, looks not unlike Dragon V2.

+Eugene Crosser The brand that they attached to the post was not the brand of camera I used. I purposely left the EXIF data attached. So if they had tagged it as Sony or A55V that would have made sense and I would have been completely OK with it. It has a use along the lines of “I’m looking for images taken with a foo camera to help decide whether I want to buy one.”
But tagging it as a competing brand that was not mentioned in the EXIF data and was not mentioned in the post was a little slimy.

wow, then it is evil slimy..

Also, if the competitor is buying these hashtags as I surmise, it makes me less likely to buy their cameras. Maybe I’m not the target market. But I’m failing to see who is. Who would be more likely to buy a brand that hashtag-hijacked (hashjacked?) social media posts about competitors?

Hmm, that reminds me of an idea that 419 scammers are (where?) perhaps making their message deliberately dumb, to appeal only the most gullible in the audience.

Awesome view.
